Piazza Amendola

Founded in the thirties of the twentieth century due to the demolition of several buildings, including an old wash house and the coverage of the stream Cesuola, the square has been the subject of a redevelopment project in September 2008, which also involved the initial stretch of street Fishmonger.

Among the various works the sub-systems and public lighting systems were rebuilt and strengthened and completely renovated, the asphalt was replaced with stones of various shapes for a cobbled effect. In the centre of the square there is a water source that has been recreated as a reminiscent of the old nineteenth-century model.

Piazza del Popolo

The piazza (square), which is actually rectangular shaped, dates back  to the ancient Roman road 'Via Emilia passage (187 BC). The main feature of the piazza is the fountain which stands in the centre 'Fontana Masini'.   Another particular feature is that the piazza only has three sides; it was deprived of the fourth side in the second half of the nineteenth century due to the demolition of the neighborhood, which originally stood there, of Chiesanuova.

Its architectural features has the grandeur of the Palazzo Comunale (Albornoz Palace) and the Venetian Loggia which contrasts with the much more compact dimensions of the structures opposite in Neoclassical and Eclectic style. The square, in past centuries has been called "square bottom", "Piazza Maggiore" and "Piazza Vittorio Emanuele."

"I liked everything about this hotel. I would go back and spend longer here next time. The public carpark is very close and the hotel is very convenient to the old town centre. The bedroom was spacious and we had our own patio."
